PUSKAPIK.COM, Brebes – Polisi menyidik kasus penganiayaan terhadap dua wartawan di Brebes. Satreskrim Polres Brebes kini telah mengantongi identitas para pelaku aksi kekerasan terhadap wartawan.
Indikasinya para pelaku lebih dari dua orang. Sementara, Bupati Brebes Idza Priyanti juga mendukung kasus kekerasan terhadap wartawan diusut sampai tuntas.
“Progres terkini, kami telah mengantongi indentitas pelaku. Bahkan, terduga para pelaku ini sudah kami mintai keterangan,” kata Kasat Reskrim Polres Brebes, AKP Agus Supriyadi usai menemui perwakilan pengurus Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) Kabupaten Brebes, Kota Tegal dan Kabupaten Tegal yang bersilaturahmi untuk menanyakan perkembangan kasus kekerasan terhadap wartawan tersebut, Kamis 3 September 2020.

Kasat mengungkapkan, ada dua orang terduga pelaku yang sudah dimintai keterangan. Dari para saksi, kedua terduga pelaku itu berada di lokasi kejadian dan mengetahuinya. Namun demikian, untuk meningkatkan dari tahap penyelidikan ke penyidikan, pihaknya akan melakukan gelar perkara terlebih dahulu.
“Menurut saksi kedua orang terduga ini berada di lokasi kejadian. Namun kami masih terus kembangkan, karena dari keterangan saksi masih ada pelaku lain,” terangnya.
Menurut dia, para wartawan dari PWI Brebes, Tegal dan Kabupaten Tegal yang datang ke Mapolres, intinya untuk memberikan dukungan penanganan atas tindak pidana penganiayaan terhadap wartawan. Dalam hal itu, Polres Brebes juga berkomitmen untuk melakukan peneggakan hukum terhadap para pelaku penganiayaan tersebut.
“Atas perbuatan ini, pelaku bisa dikenai pasal 170 KUHP,” sambungnya.
Belasan wartawan yang tergabung dalam PWI Brebes, Kota Tegal dan Kabupaten Tegal sebelumnya mendatangi Mapolres Brebes untuk bersilaturahmi, sekaligus memberikan dukungan penanganan kasus kekerasan terhadap dua wartawan di Brebes. Selain mereka, wartawan senior yang juga mantan Ketua PWI Pokja VII Wahidin Soedja juga nampak hadir.
“Kami bersama teman-teman datang ke Mapolres Brebes untuk bersilaturahmi dan memberikan dukungan kepada polisi atas penanganan kasus dugaan penganiayaan yang menimpa dua teman kami. Kami berharap secepatnya kasus ini terungkap,” ujar Ketua PWI Brebes, Eko Saputro.
Bupati Brebes Idza Priyanti mengaku, prihatin atas insiden kekerasan yang menimpa terhadap dua orang wartawan yang tengah menjalankan tugas di wilayah Kabupaten Brebes. Bupati juga mendukung jajaran Polres Brebes mengusut tuntas atas kasus kekerasan tersebut. “Agar pengroyokan kepada wartawan tidak terjadi lagi, saya minta kasus ini diusut sampai tuntas,” kata Idza Priyanti.
Diberitakan sebelumnya, dua orang wartawan menjadi korban penganiayaan sekelompok orang, saat mereka menjalankan tugas liputan di Balai Desa Cimohong, Kecamatan Bulakamba, Kabupaten Brebes, Rabu 2 September 2020.
Satu orang wartawan diantaranya mengalami luka serius di bagian kepala hingga harus dilarikan ke RSUD Brebes untuk mendapat perawatan medis. Korban adalah Agus Supramono, wartawan Semarang TV dan Eko Fidiyanto, wartawan Harian Radar Tegal. Keduanya bertugas untuk wilayah liputan Kabupaten Brebes.
