Pembagian nasi ponggol dilakukan di Jalan Ahmad Yani, tepatnya di depan pasar pagi Kota Tegal. Sebanyak 500 bungkus nasi ponggol dan masker dibagikan kepada pejalan kaki, tukang becak, pengendara motor dan sopir angkot. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari pelaksanaan operasi zebra candi 2020.
“Selain menghimbau mereka untuk patuh dan taat berlalulintas. Tapi yang paling utama adalah ditengah pandemi covid yang belum selesai ini mereka kita imbau untuk taat dan disiplin berprotokol kesehatan,” kata Kapolres Tegal Kota AKBP Rita Wulandari Wibowo.

Tak hanya membagi nasi dan masker gratis. Rita juga memberikan edukasi langsung kepada para sopir angkot agar menggunakan sabuk keselamatan, memakai masker dan menjaga jarak antar penumpang untuk mencegah penyebaran Covid-19.
“Kami juga mengedukasi para sopir tentang keselamatan berlalu lintas dan mematuhi 3M memakasi masker, mencuci tangan dan menjaga jarak,” ujar Rita.
Aksi para Polisi ini disambut gembira warga yang melintas. Mereka menilai kegiatan yang dilakulan para Bhayangkara ini lebih mengena.
