PUSKAPIK.COM, Pemalang – Bupati Pemalang Mukti Agung Wibowo ingin Gandulan Culinary Center (GCC) tak sekedar menjadi pusat kuliner di Kota Ikhlas. Lebih dari itu, GCC bakal diubah menjadi Tour Information Center tentang Kabupaten Pemalang.
Hal itu disampaikan Mukti Agung dalam acara Rakor Bakohumas dan Dialog TV Bupati Pemalang yang digelar di salah satu Hotel di Cirebon, Jawa Barat, Selasa, 23 Maret 2021.
Saat ditanya presenter terkait kuliner khas Pemalang, BAgung memaparkan bahwa Pemalang memiliki banyak sekali makanan khas, seperti grombyang dan lontong dekem. “Dan juga ada kepiting gemes, kepitingnya boleh ada di mana-mana, tapi kepiting gemes hanya ada di Pemalang,” kata Agung.
Selain itu, katanya, Pemalang juga memiliki buah-buahan khas yang enak, seperti nanas madu dan mangga istana. “Mangga Pemalang ini, selain manis, makannya seperti buah alpukat. Dipotong, dipotek, dan makannya pakai sendok. Mangganya memang musiman, tapi Pemalang dalam setahun bisa 2 sampai 3 kali panen,” ujar Agung.
Mengenai sentra kuliner, Agung menjelaskan bahwa Pemalang sudah memiliki pusat kuliner, yaitu Gandulan Culinary Center (GCC). Lokasinya sendiri, berada di Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan No 157, Beji, Taman, Pemalang, di dekat Exit Toll Gandulan. Namun, kata Agung, nantinya GCC ini bakal diubah, agar tak sekedar menjadi pusat kuliner, melainkan menjadi Tour Information Center.
“Kita sulap menjadi Tour Information Center, sehingga desa-desa wisata informasinya ada di sana, dan kuliner juga informasinya semua lengkap di sana, termasuk oleh-oleh, semua komplet,” kata Agung.
