PUSKAPIK.COM, Pekalongan – Pemerintah Kota Pekalongan meminta masyarakat patuh terhadap larangan mudik Lebaran 2021 yang telah ditetapkan oleh Pemerintah Pusat. Kebijakan tersebut dikeluarkan untuk kemaslahatan bersama berkaitan dengan pandemi Covid-19 yang belum mereda.
Itu disampaikan Wali Kota Pekalongan, Afzan Arslan Djunaid (Aaf) usai menhadiri Apel Gelar Paskan Ops Keselamatan Lalu Lintas Candi 2021 dalam rangka Cipkon Kamseltibcarlantas Menjelang Lebaran, yang digelar oleh Polres Pekalongan Kota,bertempat di Lapangan Mataram Pekalongan, Senin 12 April 2021.
Menurut Aaf, masyarakat diimbau patuh terhadap larangan mudik tahun 2021 yang telah ditetapkan pemerintah. Hal ini mengingat,kasus Covid-19 yang sebelumnya sempat turun, saat ini kembali meningkat dalam beberapa minggu terakhir.
“Kita harus patuh kepada pemerintah pusat untuk tahun ini tetap sama dengan tahun kemarin, dilarang mudik. Kami memprediksi hasrat warga untuk mudik di tahun ini lebih besar, sehingga kami antisipasi dan edukasi sejak dini kepada warga untuk betul-betul tidak mudik. Hal ini dikarenakan angka pasien Covid-19 di Kota Pekalongan sempat turun, namun di seminggu terakhir ini sudah naik lagi,†tegas Aaf.
Kapolres Pekalongan Kota, AKBP M Irwan Susanto, menyebut Operasi Keselamatan Lalu Lintas Candi 2021 ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi masyarakat terkait larangan mudik pada Lebaran tahun 2021 ini.
“Juga untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan disiplin masyarakat terhadap protokol kesehatan guna memutus mata rantai penyebaran virus Covid-19 serta tertib berlalu lintas dan menurunkan angka kecelakaan lalu lintas, “ katanya.
