Siang tadi, Rabu 14 Juli 2021, Bupati-Wakil Bupati, Mukti Agung Wibowo-Mansur Hidayat, menemui para pedagang di Alun-alun Pemalang.
Wajah memelas nampak dari puluhan orang yang menggantungkan hidupnya di Alun-alun. Baik pedagang kaki lima, maupun tukang odong-odong.

Mengingat, saat ini Alun-alun Pemalang yang menjadi ladang penghidupan mereka ditutup selama kebijakan PPKM Darurat.
Seluruh akses menuju Alun-alun Pemalang ditutup sejak tanggal 1 Juli 2021 lalu, untuk mengurangi mobilitas masyarakat.
Bupati Mukti Agung menyerahkan bantuan sembako dari BAZNAS Pemalang kepada para pedagang dan tukang odong-odong itu.
“Mudah-mudahan ini membawa berkah, manfaat untuk kita semua. Dan nantinya masih ada lagi bantuan berupa sembako.†ungkap Mukti Agung.
Dalam penyerahan bantuan ini, ada 184 paket sembako dari BAZNAS yang diberikan kepada mereka.
“Nanti juga mungkin ada yang kita serahkan langsung saat kami monitoring dan evaluasi di lapangan,†tutur Mukti Agung.
Sementara itu, Walisa Hermanto, Ketua Paguyuban Agung Mandiri (pedagang), berharap, bantuan ini bisa meringankan beban pedagang.
“Kami dari pengurus paguyuban, banyak keluh-kesahnya dari teman-teman, alhamdulilah hari ini dapat bantuan. Kami berterima kasih sekali,†ungkapnya.
