PUSKAPIK.COM, Pemalang – Puluhan klub sepak bola di Kabupaten Pemalang berlaga di Stadion Mochtar memperebutkan piala Bupati Cup 2023. Turnamen bergengsi ini merupakan rangkaian agenda perayaan Hari Jadi Pemalang ke-448.
Plt Bupati Pemalang, Mansur Hidayat, secara resmi membuka perhelatan Bupati Cup 2023 di Stadion Mochtar, Minggu sore 15 Januari 2023. Pertandingan PS Pemda Pemalang vs Garuda Lenggerong menjadi laga perdana turnamen ini.
“Turnamen Bupati Cup ini adalah wujud kepedulian yang besar terhadap perkembangan sepak bola di Kabupaten Pemalang.” kata Mansur dalam sambutannya.
Mansur mengingatkan agar jalannya pertandingan dalam turnamen sepak bola ini menjaga jiwa sportivitas. Meskipun persaingan meraih gelar juara memanglah begitu sengit, namun sportivitas harus dijunjung tinggi.
“Pupuklah itu dalam diri kalian semua, mental bersaing yang sehat, karena kita semua adalah keluarga besar warga masyarakat Kabupaten Pemalang.” tegasnya.
Terakhir, Mansur Hidayat berharap melalui kompetisi dan turnamen semacam ini, para pemain dan klub sepak bola di Kabupaten Pemalang akan mendapat kesempatan untuk mematangkan skill dan pengalaman mereka.
“Selain itu, lewat turnamen kita juga dapat menjaring bibit-bibit pemain potensial, yang nantinya dapat dibina menjadi pemain-pemain profesional.” pungkasnya.
Sementara itu Ketua Panitia Bupati Cup 2023, Fahmi Arifan, menuturkan, ada puluhan klub dari berbagai wilayah Kabupaten Pemalang yang berlaga dalam turnamen ini. Masing-masing kecamatan mengirimkan perwakilan klub.
“Ya, total ada 32 tim yang bertanding. Memang target kita setiap kecamatan itu ada perwakilannya, ada 14 kecamatan. Tapi ini tiap-tiap kecamatan ada yang mengirim 2 klub, 5 klub, bahkan 6 klub.” terangnya.
Adapun total hadiah yang digelontorkan dalam Bupati Cup 2023 dalam rangka Hari Jadi Kabupaten Pemalang ke-448 ini mencapai Rp 40 juta.
