PUSKAPIK.COM, Pemalang – Rencana uji coba Pembelajaran Tatap Muka (PTM) tahap pertama pada 5-16 April mendatang dinilai sudah telat.
Itu dikatakan Wakil Ketua Bidang Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Dewan Pimpinan Cabang (DPC) Persatuan Alumni Gerakan Mahasiswa Nasional Indonesia (PA GMNI) Pemalang, Susilo Iswanto, Jumat 26 Maret 2021.
Menurutnya Rencana pelaksanaan PTM untuk tingkat SMP, SMA/SMK, dan MA April mendatang sebagai langkah yang terlambat. Setahun lebih sejak pandemi melanda aktifitas akademis secara tatap muka di sekolah-sekolah dihentikan.
“Jika dibandingkan dengan negara-negara lain yang bahkan lebih parah dampak pandemi nya, kita termasuk yang terlambat di sektor pendidikannya. China tempat pertama ditemukan virus Corona misalkan. Sudah langsung melaksanakan sekolah tatap muka di bulan Juli 2020 lalu atau beberapa minggu setelah pemberlakuan lockdown 76 hari di Wuhan,” ungkap Susilo yang juga sebagai guru di salah satu SMK di Pemalang.
Selain itu, Susilo menyampaikan, 20 negara Eropa juga sudah melaksanakan sekolah tatap muka di pertengahan 2020. Di asia negara-negara seperti Singapura, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea Selatan, dan Taiwan sudah sejak tahun lalu menggelar sekolah tatap muka, meskipun dengan protokol kesehatan yang sangat ketat.
“Pembelajaran daring atau jarak jauh, terbukti tidak efektif. Sebagai seorang pendidik, banyak sekali keluhan-keluhan dari walimurid dengan adanya kebijakan pembelajaran jarak jauh yang mana menjadikan peserta didik tidak bisa menerima hak nya secara penuh,” ujarnya.
Menurut, Susilo pendidikan bukan hanya pengetahuan akademik saja, namun yang utama justru pendidikan karakter. Dan itu tidak mungkin bisa dilakukan dengan maksimal jika masih menggunakan metode jarak jauh seperti saat ini.
Susilo berharap, Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Tengah harus tegas dalam penanganan pendidikan. Uji coba Pembelajaran Tatap Muka (PTM) merupakan langkah awal yang nantinya mengaktifkan kembali pembelajaran tatap muka sepenuhnya secara menyeluruh.
“Tentunya dengan tetap melaksanakan protokol kesehatan. Karena pendidikan adalah ujung tombak dalam kecerdasan karakter bangsa,” tandasnya.
Diberitakan sebelumnya, Gubernur Jawa Tengah, Ganjar Pranowo menyatakan pelaksanaan uji coba pembelajaran tatap muka (PTM) di Jawa Tengah digelar pada 5 April 2021. Keputusan tersebut diambil berdasarkan masukan beberapa ahli termasuk dari Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI).
