PEMALANG (PUSKAPIK)- Keluarga besar pelaku pembakaran  kitab suci Alquran, meminta maaf kepada seluruh umat Islam di Indonesia, khusunya umat muslim Kabupaten Pemalang, Jumat (31/1/2020).
Nur Fatikhin (45) warga RT 02 RW 01, Desa Ranginmulya, Kecamatan Warureja, Kabupaten Tegal, kakak kandung Nuril Maarif yang membakar Alquran di depan rumah tahanan (Rutan) Pemalang, minta maaf.
Difasilitasi oleh Polres Pemalang, Jumat (31/1/2020), Nur Fatikhin membacakan surat pernyataan permintaan maaf yang direkam sejumlah wartawan.
“Atas nama keluarga, saya benar-benar minta maaf kepada umat Islam seluruh Indonesia. Khususnya umat Muslim di Kabupaten Pemalang, atas ulah adik saya, membakar Kitab Suci Alquran. Ini benar-benar di luar dugaan saya dan keluarga,†kata Nur Fatikhin, di ruang konferensi pers, Mapolres Pemalang.
Nur Fatikhin menegaskan, dia selaku kakak kandung mewakili keluarga untuk meminta maaf, sehubungan perkara yang melibatkan adiknya yaitu pembakaran kitab suci Alquran. Dia juga menyatakan, Nuril adiknya, memang mengalami depresi atau gangguan jiwa sejak bulan Juni 2019 lalu.
Sebelumnya, Nuril Ma’arif (40) ditangkap polisi saat membakar Kitab suci Alquran pada Kamis (30/1/2020) di depan Rumah Tahanan Kompleks Alun-alun Pemalang. Nuril diperiksa penyidik kurang dari 1 kali 24 jam dan polisi menduga pelaku mengalami sakit jiwa. Saat ini pelaku dirawat di rumah sakit jiwa Semarang, Jawa Tengah untuk menjalani perawatan.(DED)
